Make-Do

This piece is purely for decoration eg. for use in a in a prim display. It is barely 2" but is very detailed. A cotton heart sits upon a stained wooden spool and has a cotton bird with hand-painted beak and eyes attached to it. The bird is perched upon a tiny twig and under him are three weenie buttons and a minute gold key . The base is tied around with a strip of tea-stained cotton. This is a one off piece but similar pieces will be available with varying embellishments and colors

Raggedies

My Raggedies are 2"- 2½”(5.5 - 6cm) and are made from tea stained calico and cottons. Each one is fully thread jointed and their legs have either striped "stocking" fabric or the stripes hand painted on. They wear bloomers, a dress and an apron and even have tiny laces on their shoes. Raggedies have rag 'hair' and the Mammys have twisted cotton 'curls' under a cotton scarf. Their faces are hand painted and each doll is individual, choice of color for their dresses can be specified. "Uncle Sam" has whiskers and hair, hand-painted pants & a felt hat, he also carries an American flag. The Topsy-Turvy dolls are 2½” to the bottom of their dresses and have thread jointed arms. The raggedy half of the doll has rag hair and the mammy has twisted thread curls. Their calico dresses are embellished with tiny buttons and they have been tea-stained.

Prim Rooster
My prim rooster is 2¼” and made from tea stained calico and patterned cottons. He has stuffed, quilted wings, a red kid comb and wattle and sits upon hand painted wooden wheels. He has a red pull-along cord knotted at the end with a hand painted wooden bead. Each prim rooster will be slightly different with regard to fabric used for the tail and wing feathers but color preference can be stated at the time of order.

Prim Dresses

These little dresses are all approx 2"- 2½”(6cm) long and are purely for decoration eg. for use in a doll's house or in a prim display. They are very detailed; appliquéd, trimmed with blanket stitch, button detail and hand knitted shawls. Each one comes on a tiny cinnamon-stick 'hanger' looped with rafia. Fabric shown is available and so are numerous other beautiful primitive prints - samples can be sent upon request.

Birdhouses

My little wooden birdhouses are all hand made and measure 1¼” - 1¾” (actual size of house excluding post)
All except the hive houses are mounted on posts which are also decorated in keeping with the actual house.
Each one is individually decorated by hand and in great detail they follow a different theme/season/holiday.

Pull-alongs

Pull-alongs are all made from calico that has been tea-stained and are 1"- 1½” from nose to tail. The sheep are quilted with knotted threads and have painted faces and appliqued hearts. The rabbit has an appliqued heart and wears a bandana and the pig has appliqued patches, ultra-suede ears, curly tail and a painted nose. Each one has their appropriate name embroidered on their body in primitive stitching and they come on crackle painted wooden cotton reels and have a pull string with a bead.

Patriotic Prims

These pieces are purely for decoration eg. for use in a doll's house or in a prim display. They are all very detailed; the calico eagle is 2" and sits upon a hand-painted wooden spool, he has been hand-painted and tea-stained. The flag wall-hanging is 1" and hangs by fabric tabs from a cinammon "pole". The Angel is 1" tall and made from tea-stained calico with appliqued stars & stripes and has wired stars crowning her head, she is mounted upon a star shaped base which is made from vine.
