Grasshoppers

My grasshoppers are 2" small and made from pale green ultra-suede, highlighted with airbrushing. Their limbs are fully jointed and the "boys" wear waist-tied trousers, a shirt, bandana and a 'tatty' straw hat whilst the "girls" have bloomers, a dress with a hand knitted shawl and a straw bonnet. Their antennae poke through their straw hats and their wings are made from silk organza edged and embroidered with silk thread. Each grasshopper is a little individual, unique and full of personality.

Eighty-Eight

4" (10 cms) to the shoulder Eighty-Eight is my new, tiny moose. He is made from long pile American upholstery velvet in chocolate brown. He is filled with a very fine grade steel shot,his hooves are made from kid and his antlers and muzzle are ultra-suede. He is fully jointed with a 'wobbly' head joint, and had a tufty moosey beard!

Although he is just a smaller version of Elgar he has a personality of his very own and is made from a more luxurious fabric - and he knows it!! His tininess detracts nothing from his moosiness!!

Tomball & Tabb
A fine stripey pair of feline friends! Made from cotton fabric & ultra-suede they are both needle sculpted with embroidered silk noses, long black whiskers and wired tails. Tomball, 2" (5cms), has a liberty bell hanging from his tail fastened with black leather thonging whilst Tabb, 1ž" (4.5 cms), has his tail curled to entwine with Tomball's.

Needles & Sassafras

Needles and Sassafras are kitten cousins made from printed cotton fabric and ultra-suede. They are needle sculpted with embroidered silk noses and wavy, wired tails and they sits at 1ž" (4.5 cms). Whilst Needles sits patiently, Sassafras is posed scratching his ear!

Elgar Die Fledermoose!

4" (10 cms) to the shoulder Elgar is made from a textured mohair and partly filled with steel shot. His hooves are made from kid and his antlers and muzzle are ultra-suede. He is fully jointed with a 'wobbly' head joint, and had a tufty moose beard!

Originally, I made him just for fun for me, as I have a passion for "Mooses" but the initial response to him convinced me to make more but to order only, as he is very involved and takes a long time to complete.

Since taking these photos I have added some ivy which I have entwined around his antlers to make him look as though he has just lumbered out of the undergrowth!

Hephzibah

Hephzibah is a primitive style pure wool felt Halloween cat with a hand appliquéd design on the front consisting of a 'scarey' tree, pumpkins, a spider's web, stars and a crescent moon. The hand stitched quote reads "Witches Cats Lurk On Hallows Eve" Hephzibah has a wired tail and stands at 3˝" (7.5 cms)
